MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global advancements into Latin pop culture. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN came out through La Industria Inc., located in Medellin, a Sony distribution company. The album reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was A Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina within the year following. He appeared later in 2021 performing a duet TINI on her smash streaming single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His elder brother and mom are each musicians. In interviews he's talked about his involvement in music as mandatory. As a child he learned how to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. Although his first choice of career was a career as a vet the brother Julian got him to attend singing classes with a Cuban teacher.
